Here is the breakdown of the BootCamp:

Training #1: Classroom Systems- organizing your classroom, stations, handouts, student name tags, activities for the week, student library, teacher table, units, mentor texts, handing back papers, and storing student supplies.

Training #2: The First 5 Days of Readers Workshop- how to get your ELA block off the ground using the “I Do, We Do, and You Do”, rigor and relevance, mentor texts, anchor charts, interactive notebooks, differentiation, introducing rules and procedures.

Training #3: The First 5 Days of Writer’s Workshop- how to get your ELA block off the ground using the “I Do, We Do, and You Do”, rigor and relevance, mentor texts, anchor charts, interactive notebooks, differentiation, introducing rules and procedures.

Training #4: The First 5 Days of Math Workshop- how to get your math block off the ground using the calendar, components of Eureka Math, using quick exit tickets, differentiation, introducing your stations, rigor and relevance, and introducing rules and procedures.

Training #5: The First 5 Days of Science- ideas for the first unit of science using rigor and relevance, mentor texts, differentiation, science investigation and experiments, writing craftivities, anchor charts, interactive notebooks, theme center, and science center.

Training #6: Building Relationships With Students and Parents- effective morning meeting ideas using mentor texts, activities, and games, how to introduce rules and procedures, teaching conflict/resolution, how to utilize a star student and peer facilitator, effective parent communication and relationships, and how to have an impactful first impression at Meet the Teacher Night.
